Is water really important in my workout routine?

well , rather say it is common knowlege that a greater percentage of your body and universe is uncomisingly made with water . Accumulating about 61% of the total human composition and equivalently about 71% of the earths total surface , water plays a significant role in the balance of biodiversities and systems. Perherps on of the signifcant systems that we dont know is the human system , which requires water to carry out demanding fuctions in our body .

SO WHAT MAKES WATER A CRUCIAL MINERAL IN OUR BODIES ?

As mentioned earlier water forms a large percentage of the human composition , this means it plays a sequence of roles in our body which necessarily we may not notice . Without water, chances of survival are minimal and no living organism can thrive in an environment without water apart from some few remarkable animals with adaptive features that enable them to go for year without water . These include :desert tortoise, kangaroo rat, the thorny devil, water-holding frog, African lungfish, and desert spade-foot toads.

we humans need water for production of blood ,with low blood production , this will result in the decline of RBCs in the in the blood ,which affects the body’s ability to transport nutrients and oxygen around body tissues and the cardiovascular system. This can result in heart palpitationsfatigue, dizziness and some deficiencies such as anaemia due to low leves of iron present in the blood .

Without water , fluid balance and our pH levels could spike up causing inflamation to internal organs . This is because of the different activities our tissues ingage in time to time. Taking enough water ensures balance with bodily fluids such as digestive fluids an regulation regulation of body temperatures .

water acts as a coolant,  through thermoregulation,a process where which the body can maintain its temperature despite change in surrounding. The body’s temperature constant at around 36.5–37.5 °C (or 97.7–99.5 °F) asper Jowa State University. Mking upto 75% of the muscles and usually mucles store ATP (Adenosine Triophosphate ), the process of ATP production by cells throughout the body amounts approximately 60% of the energy produced is in the form of heat which is used to maintain the body’s temperature.

When the temperatures go high, it results in thermoregulation .This is activated by the hypothalamus in the brain which acts as a switch that works as a thermostat to regulate the body’s temperature .As a response when the temperatures are too high, the hypothalamus initiates several processes to lower it, including dilation and surfacing of the blood vessels to the skin allowing more blood from the body core to flow to the surface of the skin allowing the heat to radiate into the environment. As blood flow to the skin increases, sweat glands are activated to increase their output, which is sweat . This comes inform of water droplets disposed off the skin ,with time the disposed droplets cool enhancing the cool sensation we normally experience on our skin.

The importance of water on our health is long, I’ve managed to summarize other significance of water in our health and body in the chart below :

A summary on the importance of water on health ,body and wellbeing

WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

To avoid future complications ,

-Doctors recoment atleat taking upto 12 glasses of clean water everyday or use another alternative methods which includes beverages such as tea and coffee.

-Taking fruits or vegetables rich in high water contents , such as oranges ,pinaples and water melons

-Ensuring we flavour our water or drinks

-Dont wait until you are thirsty to drink water

REMARKS

The use and importance of water is undeniably significant in our day to day routines , to ensure we maintain a healthy lifesyle ,we should always consider water as our foundational suppliment for survival . Without water most our our activities could not be achieved ,which could result in a poor or slow workforce , diseases and sometimes death .Therefore it is our resposibility as well to ensure we take care of our bodies and the enviroment we live in.
